What Is a VA-Contracted Nursing Home?

VA-contracted nursing homes in the state of Indiana provide a range of services to eligible Veterans – from assisted living to residential care, home health care, skilled nursing care, and other medical care. These facilities are also commonly known as Community Living Centers (CLCs). Services vary by CLC.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Eligibility for admittance to a VA-contracted nursing home program or CLC in Indiana, like Wesleyan Health & Rehabilitation, is dependent upon several factors. Veterans with a disability rating of at least 60% and who are deemed unemployable or permanently and totally disabled are eligible for nursing care services. We treat every Veteran’s circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

Do Veterans’ Spouses Qualify for Care?
Spouses, surviving spouses, and Gold Star parents in need of skilled nursing services may also be eligible for admission to an Indiana Veterans’ home, subject to state policy.
